She is a member of the contemporary artists collective chart.

Jenny is listed in ‘Miller’s Pictures Price Guide 2005’ and is one of the featured artists in ‘A Colourful Canvas; Twelve Women Artists In The NorthWest’.

She is a direct descendant of the watercolour artist William Evans of Eton ( 1798-1877).

Jenny Ryrie has an M.A. in Fine Art (Edinburgh 1980) and has exhibited nationally and internationally including London (Thackeray Gallery; Piers Feetham Gallery), Edinburgh (Kingfisher Gallery), United States (Canyon Road Contemporary Art, Santa Fe) and group shows in France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Switzerland.

Jenny specialises in watercolour and acrylics, pushing the boundaries of expression through a wide variety of techniques. She uses intense colour and flowing shapes as well as including references to natural forms in some of her more landscape-based pieces.
Much of her work is characterised by a lyrical abstraction; she is interested in the parallels between different art forms, in particular painting, music and poetry. In 2005 her series of musical abstracts was the invited exhibition for the BBC 2 Radio Jazz Awards ceremony at the Mermaid Theatre, London.
